An ambitious project led by an experienced real estate operator.
The La Kanopée program is helping to create a new town center for the commune ofLa Possession, combining quality urbanization, digitalization and enhanced biodiversity. The Cœur de Ville eco-neighborhood is a showcase for technological innovation (including self-consumption of energy) and new uses ("short-distance city", shared gardens, etc.), and has won several awards:1st prize for sustainable cities at the Sustainable Islands Congress (Balearic Islands) 2018,2nd prize in the Green Solutions Awards at Cop 24 in Katowice, Poland.
The future Block 7, financed by a green bond issue, will offer a mix of uses. With a total surface area of 29,000m2, a third of which will be open-air, La Kanopée will include 243 housing units, offices, a health center, 400 shared parking spaces and shops. Its pedestrian street will include around thirty stores and restaurants, as well as a "covered market" supermarket.
Developed by the Reunion subsidiary of Groupe Alsei, a national operator that has been present on Reunion Island for over a decade, the project has been launched for delivery in early 2023. The developer has already built more than 500 homes in this new district, which will eventually include almost 1,500.
