The Aptic Group, a specialist in direct recruitment in the Financial Services and Corporate support functions sectors, announces the opening up of its capital to Sofiouest, which becomes a minority shareholder, to support its growth.
Founded in 2016 by Baptiste Lambert, Aptic is a recruitment firm specializing on the one hand in headhunting for "top and middle-management" profiles and on the other in permanent and non-permanent recruitment for the "mid-market" segment.
Initially positioned in the Financial Services sector (Banking, Insurance, Asset management), in which the firm is now a key reference, Aptic has been able to broaden its expertise with major "Corporate" customers, particularly in support functions. In 2018, the firm launched a complementary brand, named Maïki, offering a complete range of recruitment solutions (permanent, fixed-term, temporary) to serve the "mid-market" segment.
On the strength of its reputation and the quality of its services, the firm has grown significantly in recent years and now employs around fifty people.
Since its creation, Aptic has demonstrated its commitment to ESG, which led it to obtain the status of Entreprise à Mission in 2023. The group is now aiming for the B Corp label, which should be confirmed in the coming months.
As a result of this transaction, Baptiste Lambert is appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Sofiouest becomes a significant minority shareholder alongside the management team, which retains a majority stake. The historic partners, Pierre-Stanislas Guillet, Coelio Doray, Aurélien Jaunet and Laetitia Dupeyrat, re-join the capital, and three new partners are appointed: Fabrice Robin, Sihem Zerguit and Sophie Mahot. At the same time, the capital was also opened up to a large proportion of the firm's employees.
Sofiouest's acquisition of a stake in Aptic should enable the group to embark on its next phase of growth, offering strategic support for business development and capitalizing on its expertise in ESG issues.
Baptiste Lambert, Chairman and Founder of Aptic:"8 years after its creation, Aptic is embarking on a new stage in its development by welcoming Sofiouest and many of its employees to its capital. I'm delighted to be able to support this new phase, while always remaining at the service of Aptic's teams, our customers and our candidates. This arrival puts us in an even stronger position to tackle the strategic challenges impacting our businesses."
Pierre-Stanislas Guillet and Coelio Doray, Partners of Aptic: "The Aptic group is embarking on a new stage in its development, accompanied by Sofiouest, now fully involved in our human and financial success. We share the same vision and the same values. Thanks to this operation, we are proud to manage an SME in which 65% of our employees are shareholders. We are therefore convinced that we have the best assets at our disposal to achieve our objectives."
Florian Denys and Benjamin Dosdat, Sofiouest Investors: "We are delighted to be associated with Groupe Aptic, a benchmark player in its sector. The team's deep-rooted values and expertise illustrate our approach, which combines people and performance. We will provide our strategic support to open up development opportunities in this new phase of growth."
Véronique Roth, Senior Advisor at Oaklins France: "After several transactions in the human resources vertical, we were impressed by the quality of Aptic's teams and their processes. Since its creation, Aptic's development has been exemplary, and it has succeeded in "industrializing" its processes across all its teams, to reach a critical size enabling it today to position itself as a benchmark mid-market player in the Financial Services segment. We are delighted to have been able to organize this fast-paced transactional process and to have supported the association of Sofiouest and its management team, who are already bound by strong values based on respect for the environment and people, and we are convinced of the success of this partnership".
